Builds and operates data infrastructure platforms, managing deployment systems like Airflow and Kubernetes, and core storage technologies like DynamoDB and RDS.

Mid Remote Posted about 9 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About the role

You’d be joining the Data Infra team — a small, high-leverage team within Chime’s Infrastructure Engineering org. We build and operate the foundational platform that Data Engineering relies on to run their workflows reliably at scale: from deploying Airflow and Flink environments to owning the DynamoDB and RDS infrastructure that powers Chime’s data platform. This is a generalist role where you’ll touch both pillars — the data engineering deployment layer and the storage layer — so you’ll never be bored. If you get energy from building durable foundations that other engineers build on top of, this team is for you.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000.00 and up to $184,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Build and maintain deployment infrastructure for Data Engineering workflows, including Airflow, Flink, and chalk.ai environments
  • Own and operate Chime’s core storage technologies — DynamoDB and RDS — serving both data engineering and platform teams
  • Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and manage workloads on Kubernetes in production
  • Partner closely with Data Engineering to translate their needs into scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions
  • Drive reliability improvements across the platform — observability, capacity planning, and operational hygiene
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of infrastructure changes: design, build, test, and ship
  • Help shape how the Data Infra team scales its practices as Chime grows

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 2–4 years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure, platform, or backend systems
  • Hands-on production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with AWS, particularly managed database services like DynamoDB and RDS
  • Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language
  • A systems-thinking mindset — you design for reliability, scalability, and maintainability from the start
  • The ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems and communicate clearly across teams
  • Experience with data ingestion and ETL pipelines is a strong plus

Mid Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Fullstack Engineer — Lazo

Lazo is building the AI-powered operating system for modern startups — automating everything founders shouldn’t have to think about: finance, legal, tax, payroll, and fundraising, all under one roof. You’ll have massive ownership and work directly with founders.

The role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions for the Lazo Platform. You will work across a modern TypeScript and Python stack, building product features that help startup founders manage incorporation, compliance, and accountability in a high-trust, regulated domain.

As part of the product team, you will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive product growth and improve user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with product management, design, and engineering to ship high-quality software in a fast-paced startup environment.

This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Tech stack

Lazo is built as an Nx polyglot monorepo (pnpm workspaces) deployed to Container Apps:

  • Frontend — Next.js 16 (App Router, React Server Components) + React 19 + TypeScript, organized with Feature-Sliced Design (FSD).

  • Backend — FastAPI (Python 3.11) with async SQLAlchemy 2.0 over PostgreSQL.

  • Data — PostgreSQL per service; Prisma and SQLAlchemy as the ORM seams.

  • Testing — BDD/Gherkin across layers: Vitest + vitest-cucumber (TS), pytest-bdd + httpx (FastAPI), Playwright (e2e).

  • Infra & delivery — GitHub Actions CI/CD, Docker, Container Apps, Key Vault, OIDC federated auth.

Lazo handles sensitive data — SSNs, EINs, passports, bank accounts, cap tables, tax filings. Security, data integrity, and auditability are the top priorities, ahead of availability, privacy/compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA), testability, and maintainability.

What you’ll do

  • Take specs and features all the way to production — backend, frontend, tests, deploy.

  • Write Gherkin tests before writing code. A claim that isn’t backed by a test doesn’t exist.

  • Use AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, MCP) as part of your daily workflow, not as an experiment.

  • Contribute to technical decisions with conviction: propose, question, improve.

  • Handle sensitive data (SSNs, EINs, bank accounts, cap tables) with the seriousness it demands — security, tenant isolation, auditability, mask-on-read.

  • Collaborate directly with the team to understand the problem before solving it.

What we’re looking for

Hard skills:

  • Solid fullstack experience — backend and frontend in production environments.

  • Strong command of React / Next.js (App Router, RSC) and TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with async, event-driven architectures and RESTful API design.

  • Comfort with PostgreSQL and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Prisma, or similar).

  • Experience writing tests — unit, integration, and ideally BDD/Gherkin.

  • Python knowledge at an architectural level (not necessarily years of hands-on production experience).

  • Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

Mindset:

  • Background in high-stakes environments — banking, fintech, or startups where systems have to work, no excuses.

What this role involves

Our Purpose

At SentinelOne, we are driven by a clear purpose: to give the advantage to those who secure our future. As AI reshapes how organizations build, operate, and innovate, the responsibility to protect them becomes more critical than ever. When you join SentinelOne, your work helps protect global enterprises, critical infrastructure, and the technologies shaping tomorrow. If you are motivated by meaningful challenges and want your impact to be real, measurable, and global, you will find purpose here.

About Us

SentinelOne is a company at the intersection of AI and security, pioneering a new operating model for cybersecurity. Our AI-native platform unifies protection across endpoint, cloud, identity, data, and AI systems to deliver autonomous detection and response with clarity and speed. By combining real-time analytics, intelligent automation, and a unified data foundation, we reduce noise, simplify complexity, and empower security teams to focus on what truly matters.

Our teams are builders, problem-solvers, and innovators committed to shaping the future of security. If you are excited to solve hard problems alongside talented, mission-driven people, we invite you to help us build a safer future for humanity.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for people who are relentlessly curious and committed to continuous learning. AI is reshaping every function across our business, and we enable every team member, regardless of role or level, to build fluency in AI tools and concepts. Those who thrive here actively seek out new solutions, experiment thoughtfully, and apply what they learn to drive better, faster, smarter outcomes.

As a Software Engineer you will be tasked to join our on Prem Team. We are building and scaling SentinelOne’s self-hosted (On-Prem) console, and we’re looking for a strong backend software engineer to join the On-Prem team.

As our new colleague, you should be excited about building and hardening systems that customers run in their own environments — from air-gapped data centers to private clouds. You should love taking an active role, be comfortable diving into complex, large-scale distributed systems, and enjoy owning the reliability, upgradeability, and operability of software that ships outside of SentinelOne’s own infrastructure.

What will you do?

Primary responsibilities include:

  • SentinelOne is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Shift Left Security team within Cloud Native Security (CNS) in India — the team that secures customers’ code, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure before it ever reaches production.
  • Shift Left Security is a core pillar of SentinelOne’s agentless CNAPP. Our toolset secures code right from the start through three primary capabilities: Secret Scanning (detecting 750+ types of hardcoded/leaked credentials across git repositories),IaC Scanning (finding misconfigurations in Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and Helm before they ship), and Vulnerability Scanning (surfacing vulnerable dependencies in repositories and container images).
  • We deliver this through deep integrations with version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket — cloud and self-hosted) and through our CLI (s1-cns-cli) embedded directly into customer CI/CD pipelines.
  • This role is responsible for building and maintaining the high-throughput, resilient scanning services behind these capabilities — systems that autoscale to process hundreds of thousands of scan events per day across multiple regions while keeping customer code safe.
  • We’re looking for someone who errs on the side of simplicity, has a passion for craftsmanship in code, and believes deeply in the value of testing — the kind of engineer who writes tests even when nobody is watching.
  • We value engineers who enjoy performance tuning, care about secure handling of sensitive customer data, and are excited about working with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
  • This is a hybrid role with 2 days in our Bengaluru office.

What Skills and Knowledge Should You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development, distributed systems, or data/event processing
  • Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or JavaScript, with a solid grasp of software engineering best practices
  • Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments and containerization (Docker)
  • Good understanding of operating systems, networking, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and messaging/streaming systems such as Kafka
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and building resilient, horizontally scalable services
  • Demonstrated commitment to code quality and testing practices throughout your career
  • Bias toward simplicity and maintainability in software design
  • Interest in performance and scale testing; you enjoy tuning systems for maximum efficiency
  • Awareness of secure coding practices and careful handling of sensitive data (credentials, customer source code)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution

Bonus

  • Contributions to open source projects, particularly in security, developer tooling, or distributed systems
  • Experience working withAI coding agents / coding assistants in a development workflow
  • Exposure to DevSecOps tooling, SAST/secret-scanning/IaC-scanning concepts, or CNAPP products
  • Experience with policy-as-code engines (OPA/Rego)
  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS, MSSP support, or regulated/FedRAMP environments

Why SentinelOne?

AI is redefining how the world operates and rewriting the rules of security in real time, and SentinelOne was built for this moment. From day one, we architected an AI-native platform designed to operate at machine speed, not as an add-on to legacy systems but as the foundation itself. Requisition #: 1656

Job Title: Platform Engineer II

Location: McLean, VA

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer II to own and operate our internal lab and demo environments. This role supports a hybrid platform ecosystem spanning on-prem lab infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, Kubernetes/containerized workloads, CI/CD tooling, artifact repositories, automation, and developer enablement.

The Platform Engineer II will help maintain environment readiness, improve deployment consistency, support development teams with repeatable deployment patterns, and ensure customer demos, product experiments, prototypes, training, and onboarding environments are reliable and well documented.

This is a practical, hands-on platform engineering role for someone who can troubleshoot across the stack, automate repeatable work, document operational procedures, and help bring structure to a fast-moving lab environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. You do not need to be a senior architect, but you should be able to troubleshoot independently, ask good questions, document what you learn, and help improve the way environments are built and maintained.

You should be comfortable working across multiple areas of the platform stack and willing to jump into whatever the lab environment needs, whether that is fixing a deployment, debugging ingress, improving a Jenkins or GitHub Actions workflow, troubleshooting a virtual machine, writing a validation script, updating documentation, or helping a development team standardize how an application is deployed.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations, readiness, and reliability of lab and demo environments.

  • Maintain and support Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.

  • Support on-prem lab infrastructure, virtualization platforms, virtual machines, and related network/storage dependencies.

  • Support development teams by creating reusable deployment patterns, templates, documentation, and runbooks.

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

  • Troubleshoot issues across Linux systems, virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes resources, networking, DNS, TLS, ingress, and application runtime environments.

  • Manage and support artifact repository workflows using tools such as Nexus or Artifactory.

  • Maintain deployment documentation, environment standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Help ensure customer demos, training environments, and prototype deployments are stable, prepared, and repeatable.

  • Automate environment setup, validation checks, deployment steps, and routine operational tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting tools.

  • Contribute to platform and deployment design discussions by recommending practical improvements and helping turn architecture direction into repeatable implementation patterns.

  • Support basic security and compliance activities, including patching, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, TLS/certificate management, RBAC, least privilege, and secure configuration practices.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first six months, success in this role means:

  • Lab and demo environments are more stable, better documented, and easier to maintain.

  • Development teams can deploy more consistently using standard patterns, templates, and runbooks.

  • Customer demos, product experiments, and training environments require less last-minute manual effort and are more reliable.
